Born on November 9, 1972 in the city of Ekaterinburg (ex-Sverdlovsk)

From 1990 till 1993, studied history of philosophy in Ural State University.
 
In 1998, was awarded bachelor’s degree in law of Russian Peoples Friendship University. In 2000, graduation with honors and degree of master of law of Russian Peoples Friendship University.
 
Doctor of Legal Science, assistant professor of constitutional and municipal department (Legal Department) of Russian Peoples Friendship University. Assistant professor of constitutional and municipal department of Moscow University for the Russian Ministry of Domestic Affairs.
 
1995 - 1997, work with the Russian Federal Property Fund.
 
August 1997 - June 1998, UNEXIM Bank, Deputy Head of Legal Department.

September 1998 - June  2003, member of the Board of Directors of Joint stock Commercial Bank ROSBANK and since February 2004 till May 2008, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Joint stock Commercial Bank ROSBANK.
 
June 1998 - October 2001, Legal Matters Director and Deputy General Director of the Interros Company . From October 2001, General Director of Interros Company and from December 2001, Chairman of the Management Board. From January 2004, member of the Board of Directors of the Interros Company. From  June 2008, Vice-President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Interros Company.

Since March 2006 till June 2007, and then since June 2008 - member of the Board of OJSC "Polyus Gold".

Currently he is  Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Open Investments company; member of the Board of MMC Norilsk Nickel; Agros food and agricultural company; Rosbank and CEO of KM Invest.
