Chairman of the Gold Miners Union of Russia

Born in 1939.

In 1961 graduated from the Tula Mining Institute.

In 1984 graduated from the National Economy Academy of the Council of Minster of the USSR.

From 1961 to 1975 worked in Severovostokzoloto gold mining company as overman, chief mechanical engineer, chief power engineer, chief engineer, mine director.

From 1975 to 1982 was Director of Polyarinskiy mine.

From 1985 to 1995 served as General Director of Severovostokzoloto gold mining company.

Since 1995 года Mr. Braiko is Chairman of the Gold Miners Union of Russia.

In March 2006 Valery N. Braiko was elected to the Board of Directors of OJSC Polys Gold as Independent Director.
