Minimization of the negative environmental exposures is one of the key Polyus’s prospective priorities and our strongest commitment to our shareholders, Russian Federation authorities and local communities.

In course of that we work hard to decrease environmental and health risks incorporated with our production accordingly with the requirements of the International Cyanide Management Code (ICMC).

The Polyus group’s strategic action plan till 2010 provides for development and implementation of a complex program which concerns health, safety and environment issues. Integration of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996 quality and environmental management systems is also on the company’s agenda.
