Mukodek Mukodek deposit is situated in the southern part of Mamsko-Chuysk area of Irkutsk region. It was discovered in 1968.
Mukodek deposit belongs to a gold, sulphide, and silicone formation consisting of a series of closely located veins and mineralized zones. Two types of ores were identified: veinlet- impregnated and vein ores. Veinlet-impregnated mineralization is represented by fine dispersed veinlets of sulfide and small silicone and silicon-carbonate mineralized veinlets in sericite-chlorite and chlorite schists. Vein ores are represented by thick and short morphologically variable silicone veins with sulfide mineralization. Gold in ores occurs in free metallic form, as well as finely dispersed within aggregates of sulfides and thin silicone and silicone-carbonate veins, sometimes it occurs in fissures within pyrite.
Inferred resources by P1 and P2 categories reach 200 tons of gold.
Polyus group will conduct a thorough exploration of the deposit in 2005 with the view to issue a reserves statement. |
