Chertovo Koryto

Chertovo Koryto deposit is located in the northern part of Bodaibo area some 200 kilometers north from the city of Bodaibo on the eastern slope of Chertovo Koryto mountain at the attitude of 1400-1500 meters. The deposit was discovered in 1962. Mineralization in Chertovo Koryto is connected with silicon vein formations superimposed on zones of impregnated veinlet silicon sulfide mineralization. These types of mineralization form a complicated stockwork extending for some 1800 m. Sulphides in the ore do not exceed 3-5%. Gold occurs in association with sulfides, both in contacts with silicon veins and veinlets and within the body of the vein mostly in free metallic form extractable by amalgamation.

Chertovo Koryto reserves by C2 category reach up to 11 tons of gold and have been traced to 30-60 m depths. Inferred resources are estimated at 226 tons. Exploration will continue to increase reserves and determine most efficient technology for ore processing.

Total resources (C2) – 11 tons of gold; inferred resources – up to 226 tons of gold.
